Creating a more empowered World Education system through leading public display of crafting and utilizing a career trajectory changing curriculum that focuses on maximizing each persons potential in this modern age.
Humanity is entering a radical new era, unprecedented in both Earth and Human history. To flourish in the coming decades and fulfill our potential as a species, we will have to overcome the biggest challenges we have ever faced, from extreme climate change, to rogue A.I.
If we succeed, our potential is cosmic in scale. Incredible prosperity is within our reach. But the wrong moves could push us into irreversible collapse.
Mankind will survive all but the bleakest futures. We have the intelligence and tenacity. The question is not will we survive, but how will we. Education is at the core of making this process as smooth as possible and with an ever changing world of Ai tools, it is important to lead by example in creating great innovators to help with the worlds biggest problems.
”When you manipulate a system, you need to be clear why you are doing so. Are you doing it out of need or out of greed? In this case, there was a clear need to educate the growing population of Chembur. EduNation was the only way forward. It was the goal and the solution. I was prepared to do anything to make it work.”
Many of the quotes used here come from Dr. Vasuvedan Pillai who wrote the book EduNation. Since Dr. Vasuvedan handed me his book not 24 hours passed till I completed it front to back. The teachings and insights were along the same vein of worldview that I have been formulating since my own time going through the education system.
I wish we could have met years ago, but after reading the book it seems in spirit we already have in some way shape or form. I already appreciate the warm welcoming spirit and open-mindedness to my big ideas and I am excited about what we may do together.
While the path forward for us includes creating tons of value from upgrading the educational model to merge with real world innovation, it is not something I feel I need to map out. Instead, the perspective that it is better for the students is all that Dr. Pillai needed to hear. For some leaders like Dr. Pillai, the monetary aspect is simply a means to a higher end. An end that represents the greatest part about humanity, our natural will towards a better world for everyone else. An understanding of the greater wealth that resides in the uplifting to others.
“The real power of education is when you can go beyond yourself and touch the lives of others.”
That’s part of why his book spoke to me so much, because it stems from an understanding that it all starts with educating every person on the planet. It’s a mindset of only being strong as our weakest link, and helping individuals capability to make clearer sense of the world helps us all.
“ It taught me to stay with my vision. Once you have a goal, you pursue it relentlessly, no matter what the odds. Two: You should believe in people. You help someone to meet his goal, and inevitably, he helps you to realize yours. Human beings are interdependent. We can progress only by helping one another. That is the law of nature. Moreover, that is how things work here in India.”
“I may personally not believe in that old capitalist notion that "it's not a boon, if you don't boom," but I do hold that growth has to be expansionary; it has to encompass all sections of society; it has to strengthen the roots of one's culture and community; it has to capture the imagination of the nation; and finally, it must prove useful to the world at large.”
